About Me

My name is Sarah and I provide online tuition to student veterinary nurses who require additional support in passing their exams. 

I qualified with honours as a veterinary surgeon in 2007 from Glasgow University.  Since then I have worked both in small and equine practice and absolutely loved my job.  I understand the troubles and struggles of veterinary practice but also know how rewarding a career within the industry can be. 

I have always had a passion for teaching and very much enjoyed coaching the vet and vet nurse students who were on placement and working for us.  This passion for teaching led me to accept a job as a veterinary nurse lecturer in 2019. 

Working as a lecturer of veterinary nursing has given me a huge insight into the amount of knowledge that is involved in qualifying as a veterinary nurse.  There is no denying that this is a difficult course! However, I have drastically improved the number of SVNs passing their exams first time since joining. I back myself as a teacher but more importantly, I back you as student veterinary nurses. By understanding individual needs and supporting students on a one-to-one basis I can help everyone reach their goals and unlock their potential. 

I am most familiar with the exam structure and course content of the Vetskill diploma but am happy to help anyone who feels they need extra support working toward exams under any awarding body.

I have numerous multiple-choice question papers and revision sheets that I can provide to you. I can promptly grade these and offer feedback to assist with your revision.

I graduated as an RVN shortly after completing my OSCEs in January this year, and I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to travel abroad, practicing my suturing and minor surgery skills with accredited charity organisations – I certainly wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have an outstanding tutor to begin with. Upon returning to the UK, I hope to top up my certificate, and I only wish I could drag Sarah around so that she may lead those lectures!
